Code of Conduct for New Age Models in Surgical Care Released by IAMAI

Today, the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) released a Self-Guiding Code of Conduct (SGCC) for New Age Models in Surgical Care in the presence of Dr. K Madan Gopal, Senior Consultant, Health, NITI Aayog. The Code of Conduct was framed to ensure complete transparency, to offer access to cutting-edge technology for surgeries, postsurgical care, and last-mile connectivity, and to create a comprehensive patient-centric ecosystem.

 

In the press release, Dr. Gopal stated that establishing a Code of Conduct for leading healthcare companies will ensure that every patient has access to quality healthcare. He added that the Code of Conduct is backed by a strong tech support system, and he is hopeful that the new age models can transform clinical interventions to make India′s healthcare more inclusive.

 

Dr. Vaibhav Kapoor, Chair of the IAMAI Sub Committee on New-Age Models in Surgical Care and Co-Founder of Pristyn Care, stated that the Self-Guiding Code of Conduct (SGCC) outlines a clear, progressive framework for New Age Models in Surgical Care. He added that the guidelines are designed to build a patient-centric, universal healthcare ecosystem in India wherein healthcare providers deliver enhanced clinical outcomes at affordable costs by complying with the highest professional standards.

 

He added that the key components of the Code of Conduct include responsible communication; care coordinators for safe and effective care; relationships with healthcare professionals and partner hospitals; insurance and billings; and customer grievances.
